Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

Serves:

1 ¼ cups, 48 (1-teaspoon) servings

Ingredients:

1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoons flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup Madhava Organic Agave Nectar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla


Directions:

In a small saucepan, whisk together milk, flour and salt until no lumps remain. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until mixture thickens and large bubbles form. Cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes longer, being careful to not burn. Transfer mixture to a small bowl and cover with plastic wrap placed directly on mixture. Cool for 1 hour.

Beat butter in a medium mixing bowl with an electric mixer until fluffy. Blend in Madhava Organic Agave Nectar and vanilla. Beat in cooled milk mixture, a heaping spoonful at a time, until blended. Whip 1 to 2 minutes or until frosting is light and fluffy.
